Mission Project
The church has again participated in the Faith In Practice medical mission project. For the second year we have secured the materials and packaged 402 dental hygiene kits that the local medical team will distribute to the needy children on their coming mission trip to Guatemala. The dental kits are a small but important part of an on-going effort to improve the hygiene habits and health of the people of Guatemala. Early last year (2008) the church donated 500 kits; and later on short notice, was asked to provide an additional 40 more. Also last year the church sorted and packaged 1100 baggies of vitamins that were to be distributed to the adult patients that the mission team treated in Guatemala.
The members of Whitefield UMC are thankful for the opportunity be a part of the Faith In Practice mission efforts in Guatemala.
