Mary Culler White Circle

The Mary Culler White Circle meets every 3rd Monday each month at 2:30 PM in the homes of various members.

This circle was named for a well-known Methodist missionary from Georgia. Mary Culler White was born May 12, 1875 in Perry, Georgia. In 1879 she moved with her family to Hawkinsville, Georgia, which remained her home until her death. She graduated from Wesleyan College and trained at Scarritt Bible and Training School to be a missionary.

In 1901, at the age of 26, she began her mission work in China. After 42 years in the mission field she returned to Hawkinsville and spent her time speaking to churches and other groups about her mission experiences. Mary Culler White died May 18, 1973.
